Peppermint Oreo Truffles
These oreo truffles have a hint of peppermint and a whole lot of chocolate.

Crush up the oreos by hand or in a food processor and put them into a medium sized bowl.
Dump the cream cheese into bowl. Mix it up with your hands until it is well incorporated.
Drop by small spoonfuls onto a baking sheet. They should be about an inch across. Put them in the refrigerator for at least an hour.
Crush the candy canes until they are a fine powder. You can use a food processor or a rolling pin.
Melt the chocolate in the microwave. Coat the truffles evenly with chocolate. Sprinkle some of the candy canes on top. Put them back in the fridge for another hour so the chocolate can harden.
If you don't have a Trader Joe's near you, use regular oreos and 2-3 drops of peppermint extract.
