15-Minute Thai Tea Rice Krispie Treats

If you need a quick treat, these Thai Tea Rice Krispie Treats are just the dessert bars you need! Filled with smokey Thai tea flavor and sweet marshmallows, they put a unique Asian twist on a classic Rice Krispie treat. The best part - they come together in just 15 minutes!

  • Prep a 8x8 baking dish by greasing it with oil and covering it with parchment paper.
  • Pour 5 cups of Rice Krispie cereal into a large bowl.
  • Using a spice grinder or a mortar and pestle, break down 1 ½ tbsp of Thai tea mix into powder.
  • Melt ¼ cup of unsalted butter over medium heat, and then add 10 oz of marshmallows.
  • Once the marshmallows are almost completely melted, add the powdered Thai tea mix from step 3 and a pinch of salt. Mix it all together until it's uniformly orange.
  • Pour the Thai tea marshmallows onto the Rice Krispie cereal and mix until the cereal is coated in the melted marshmallows.
  • Scoop the Rice Krispie cereal into the prepped baking dish and press it down, so it is distributed evenly. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
