Editorial Policies
At Cooking Therapy, we pride ourselves on providing reliable, original, quality content to aid our readers in their cooking journey, no matter what level they are at. If you see a recipe or post on our site that you feel needs to be corrected or improved in some way, please contact us directly at [email protected].
Who We Are
Cooking Therapy is owned and operated by CT Kitchen, LLC. Cooking Therapy was founded in 2017 by Rebecca Du (Becca), a home cook from Los Angeles, CA. Read more about Becca and her food journey on our About page.
Our Mission
Here at Cooking Therapy, it is our goal to help you explore Asian cuisine (especially Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine) and provide you with the tools you’ll need to make these dishes at home. We believe that anyone can make good quality food at home, and we are here to provide you with everything you need, so you can achieve that in your own homes.
Our Recipes
All recipes appearing on Cooking Therapy are thoroughly taste-tested by family and friends of the brand before publishing, and are reworked as needed based on feedback received. All the recipes are tested and developed by the owner and author Becca before they are published on the site.
Our recipes are centered around cuisines from Asian cultures, predominantly Vietnamese and Chinese. While the ingredients and techniques may be unfamiliar to some readers, we aim to offer detailed step-by-step instructions as well as tips and tricks, so readers can confidently recreate each recipe at home. In addition, you will also find recommendations for appropriate ingredient swaps and substitutions whenever possible.
Our Content
We strive to publish recipes that are easy, delicious, and fit your needs and tastes. All the content including images, videos, and recipes is produced and published by the author Becca.
Maintaining & Updating Content
As Cooking Therapy grows and evolves, it is not uncommon for the style of our writing, photography, videography, or recipes to change. In order to provide the most consistent and pleasant user experience across all aspects of Cooking Therapy and any associated platforms, we will continuously review older content for improvement opportunities and make revisions to published content as we deem necessary. If needed, we will retest and rewrite recipes to ensure the most up-to-date information is put forth on the site.
Should you need an older version of a recipe that has been redeveloped or updated in some way, please contact us directly at [email protected] and we will do our best to assist you.
Transparency & Accountability
Author Attribution
Each blog post, photograph, video, and recipe published on Cooking Therapy is written, researched, and created by an actual person, not generated by computer or artificial intelligence. Each post features an author byline hyperlinked to more information about the author.
Errors & Corrections
While we take content integrity very seriously, we understand that unintentional errors are inevitable. We promise to correct any errors in content quickly and transparently. If you see a recipe or post on our site that you feel contains inaccurate information, please contact us directly at [email protected].
Reader Comments
We welcome any and all honest feedback, both positive and negative, on all of our recipes. We do not, however, tolerate profanity, abuse, harassment, discriminatory remarks, or incendiary rhetoric in our comments. Cooking Therapy reserves the right to remove reader comments that are not respectful, on-topic, constructive, or that otherwise violate our standards for discussion.
Star Ratings
Readers are welcomed (and encouraged!) to leave a star rating with their review comment, reflecting their opinion of the related recipe on a 1-5 scale, with 1 star being the lowest possible score and 5 stars being the highest possible score. In order to submit a star rating, said rating must be accompanied by a review comment, reader name, and reader email address. Star ratings cannot be submitted without comment.
We will never manipulate star ratings to artificially inflate or misrepresent the perception of a recipe.
Third-Party Advertising & Revenue
On-Site Ads
Cooking Therapy is partnered with the ad provider, Raptive, to generate revenue through on-site programmatic advertising. As a Raptive ad partner, we are not directly involved with the ad experience, and the ads displayed on Cooking Therapy may not accurately reflect the beliefs and viewpoints of the company.
Still, our team at CT Kitchen, LLC is committed to providing a positive, enjoyable on-site experience for our readers of all backgrounds, ages, and beliefs. Should you have concerns about any of the ads you’ve seen on our site, please contact us directly at [email protected].
Collaborations & Sponsored Content
Occasionally, we will enter into an agreement with a brand to develop a post or recipe around a specific product in exchange for compensation in some form. These posts will always feature an appropriate disclaimer, displayed conspicuously toward the top of the page, to draw attention to this partnership. Cooking Therapy will never enter into a collaboration or sponsored agreement with any brand or product that does not reinforce the goals and values of the company.
Affiliate Marketing
Cooking Therapy may participate in affiliate programs such as Amazon’s Associate program which generate advertising revenue for Cooking Therapy in the form of commissions. When readers click on the provided affiliate link and make a qualified purchase, Cooking Therapy will receive a small percentage at no additional cost to the reader.
Please know, we are committed to transparency and honesty in all our affiliations, and will never recommend a product or ingredient that we would not use.
We will always clearly disclose when we are an affiliate with a company, brand, or program. We will also always disclose when a specific link to a product will generate revenue through an affiliate program.
